October

We had to make an unexpected trip home due to our sweet little Emma getting sick. It was so hard to loose such an important part of our family. I wanted to stay home with our other doggies, but Richard would not leave me there by myself. He said that I would be spend the whole time looking out the back door crying because Emma was not out there, and he would have been right. So off we went...........
Fall is here.....this was somewhere in Illinois
Beautiful trees under St Louis Arch

Our first trip was to Colorado...one of our favorite places! Colorado had just had a big snow fall, but by the time we got there it was almost 60 degrees, but somehow, they still had a bunch of white stuff on the ground.........

We were amazed! In Alabama, if we had this much snow on the ground it would have to at least be 30 degrees. It was so pretty! We thought for sure that there would be even more snow in Denver, but nope there was none, but you can see the snow on the mountain tops.
It did start snowing the next morning, and it wasn't 60 degrees either, it was 28 and oh so very cold!
Rocky Mountains
The clouds that brought the snow!
the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, could not see the tops, because of the clouds and snow!

We just LOVE the mountains!

Left the Rocky Mountains and ventured into the Appalachian Mountains heading towards New Jersey!
Fog rolling in over the mountains!
Philadelphia
Downtown Philly
Phillies Stadium......during the world series. This is the trip that I learned not to wear my I love New York tshirt while in Pennsylvania. I got some really ugly looks in Wal Mart!
